[Wine...on your Table]
Let's move from the pumpkins to grapes to wine for our fall tablescape. Have you noticed the trend to smaller wine glasses? In Europe a small juice size glass is the go to for a glass of social wine. To highlight these small vessels, today's table is "Wine" - from the color to the glass.
Centerpiece: It's not easy to find the "right" wine color flowers. Mixing shades of red, burgundy, and rust was a challenge. Dahlias provide a great choice of colors, are plump, and add body to the arrangement. I'm not a carnation lover, but they are a great filler. Add some of your silver dusty miller and voila!
Place Setting: Minimal with a focus on the wine theme. What better way than with grapes on a plate. Displayed are vintage European china that you can find at second hand shops. I find these great bargains are very useful for large party fall celebrations. They are paired with the Lynn Chase Jungle dinner plate.
Glassware: Try the smaller wine glass. Mix up your glassware by pairing a cut glass champagne flute with and art deco 4 oz - juice glass.
